LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD

WSPTA Legislative Assembly
October 3-4, 2008
SeaTac Marriot Hotel

Use your Voice. You will have the opportunity to learn about issues submitted by PTA members, which are impacting children in our communities.  Your voice will help decide whether or not these issues are adopted and their priority order.   Supported issues become the primary factors in determining the actions and activities of staff, and PTA advocates during the legislative session. They help determine what, given the financial and human resources available, the State PTA will monitor and attempt to influence through grassroots organizing, lobbying efforts, media relations and work with partner organizations.

Learn how to Advocate for Kids. A new emphasis on advocacy training at Legislative Assembly aims to prepare PTA members to become more effective advocates within their local schools, communities, and Washington State. We are striving to increase the effectiveness of WSPTA advocacy efforts at all levels, as we continue a 103 year commitment to advocating for Washington State’s children.

Join us and learn how your PTA and its membership can make a real difference for kids.
